Interview to Saud Rahman

We interviewed our colleague Saud Rahman, sales manager for key accounts, to know him a little better and to know about his experience in the company.

1. For those who do not know you, how would you describe yourself?

In human terms, I am simple person, optimistic and with a good sense of humour. In  professional, I am formal, hard-working and obstinate in reaching and exceeding agreed commitments.

2. Could you give us an overview of your business career from the beginning to nowadays?

That would require a Larousse and going back to Otto Von Bismarck, but the interview would be very long with what I will summarize, to avoid you the agony.

Apart from my professional beginnings, which as you can imagine and like for the most of people, have been very varied, my real professional career began to take shape as a salesman in the 90s in various technological multinationals. They belonged to different sectors, starting with office automation with those digital and multifunctional duplicating machines of the mid-90s, passing through telecommunications both with Paging (those carried by doctors in the hospitals of the movies), and later, back in the 2000´s, mobile telephony, data, fixed and “family”.

Afterwards, I was in an energy resource engineering company, dedicated to renewables such as Photovoltaic, Solar ACS, Wind and Biomass, where I learned a thousand ways to use our resources in a sustainable way. I was also lucky enough to spend a few years working in the distribution sector, nothing like what I have touched all my life, but undoubtedly enriching. During last year and a half until nowadays, I have been in Fagor as the Sales Manager for key accounts in the areas of Aragon, Cataluña and Navarra.

3. What is your biggest achievement in the position you hold?

As my colleague Ernesto said, “it is yet to come” and I´m sure it will.

4. How is the working environment with your colleagues in the company?

Friendly and collaborative. I always have any of them to give me a hand if it is needed and they know that can also count on me.

5. What do you like to do in your free time?

With the family we go through routes for campervans to enjoy nature and visit new places. With friends, although I dedicate very few time to them, we like to meet together to eat or walk around, laugh and if possible with beers, better. In the “my plot” part, I have a thousand open fronts, my homemade DIY, mechanics, carpentry, inventions of any kind that I see on YouTube, like when we were kids and watched MacGyver.
