Fagor Electrónica´s fleet business is now called Smart Data Services
Smart Data Services is the new name of Fagor Electrónica´s business oriented to offer global connected services for location and decision making.
In the year 2000, when the term startup was not yet in our vocabulary, Fagor Electrónica, together with the University of Cantabria, started a new activity oriented to offer location and fleet management solutions to companies. At that time it was difficult to imagine the growth that this activity has had throughout these last years, not only in the Spanish market, but also in other areas like South America, where it is being implanted with great force.
From that initial project, which started with 12 workers, Fagor Electrónica now has a workforce of more than 50 people in its offices, located in Santander. It has a large portfolio of customers, including transport, logistics and distribution companies, as well as companies whose supply chain is a key factor in the business.
Clients such as Naturgy, Eroski, or Tranportes San José guarantee their more than 20 years of experience in the sector.
Whether it is a fleet of vehicles, merchandise or knowing the information that circulates in the vehicle, Fagor Electrónica offers an optimal solution for professionals who need information for the control, management and optimisation of their mobile business resources.
Smart Data Services has three product areas.
FleetNet® the web platform created and designed to obtain information about any vehicle, trailer or moving resource where its information and traceability, is interesting or necessary to manage for a company.
Ubika® is a new concept of logistics platform that connects the information systems of all agents in the supply chain - carriers, logistics operators, freight forwarders, shipping companies... - providing the necessary transparency for better decision making. Ubika is the Integral Transport Control Centre.
SmartData Car® is the Business Intelligence Platform for the maximization of the business of OEMs, bodybuilder vehicles, rent/leasing companies, ... increasing the sale of vehicles, spare parts and services and offering a differential positioning.
