It is a pilot project that will allow to verify if this can be a new solution for the transport of big volumes, as said Massimo Marsili, general manager of the company for Iberia and Morocco.<\/p><p>The duo trailer consists of a combination of two semi-trailers in a single tractor head, with a total length of\u00a0<strong>31.75 meters, 70 tons and 46.6 net load<\/strong>, which will increase the capacity of road transport and also reduce CO2 emissions. XPO\u00b4s commitment to this type of project is related to the\u00a0<strong>innovative strategy of the transport and logistics company and its responsibility to reduce emissions<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Now a period of one year is opened, when an exhaustive set of data will be important, it can then be analyzed and accumulated as casuistry as possible, in terms of load, weight, volumes, types of goods, sectors, etc. In addition, XPO will be able to compare the same route between its two platforms in Madrid and Barcelona it already covers with conventional trucks and megatrucks, that will enrich the project.<\/p><p>The event was attended by our colleagues Marcos S\u00e1nchez, Business Director, Ignacio D\u00edez, Key Account Sales Manager and Rub\u00e9n Mart\u00edn, Sales Director.
