Interview with Iván Navarro

We interviewed our colleague Iván Navarro, sales manager for the central area, to get to know him better and to know about his experience in the company.

  1. For those who don´t know you, how would you define yourself?

It´s difficult to summarize in a few words, although I´ll try. I am extroverted and cordial, enthusiastic about personal conversations and human contact. Committed and enthusiastic about the objectives and projects started, ambitious and self-taught (every day I understand that I need more training to be up to the needs and technological developments in the business environment). I am grateful to all the people who have worked with me and from whom I have learned everything related to the technical-commercial field and have contributed to my current position in a leading technological company in various productive sectors.


  1. Can you give us an overview of your business career from the beginnings to the present?

These are the questions that make me aware that I have been in the technology sector for 20 years. I started with selling and distributing fixed telephony services, mobile telephony, fiber optic data and point-to-point channels, voice over IP, with routers and virtual switchboards, with its own technical installers to provide service (at that time I still had no grey hair).

My first steps in the fleet management and location sector coincided with an entrepreneurial moment on my part in the creation of companies, for the commercialization of these services at a national level, and it allowed me to know and train  myself in the different technologies and services. Learning about the different marketing and distribution methods of the leading manufacturers and localization service companies. Being part of and in some cases creating commercial groups and departments, supported by telemarketing and digital marketing.

At the present, with a lot of humility and enthusiasm for the challenge of contributing and learning, to develop a marketing project at the height of the company and meet the expectations.


  1. What has been your greatest achievement in the position you hold?

If I can boast about something, it is that I have no enemies among collaborators, workers and managers of the different companies I have worked for or created, although I understand that not everyone likes me (as one of my bosses used to say “we are not 500€ notes so that everyone can like”), I don´t think anyone hates me.


  1. How is the working environment with your colleagues in the company?

The truth is that there is an incredible human group, very professional, but at the same time very close and cordial, with multiple offers of help (sincere and real), with which I have felt very comfortable from the beginning, and with access to commercial management at any time (to resolve multiple questions and doubts), which I am doubly grateful for.

I really like the multiple virtual meetings, both for training, and for setting or analyzing sales goals, with different colleagues, as they provide new visions and ways of reaching the same objective and encourage collaboration between colleagues.


  1. What do you like to do in your free time?

Tricky question… free time?… when my brain gives me a break and the family has already reconciled, I hide away in a natural spot to go fishing. I switch off my mobile phone for a day or two and then I get my batteries back to 100%. I am also a big fan of rural and gastronomic tourism, simple tastes and healthy practices, no risky sports, even no sports at all, just in case.
