We interview our colleague José Luis Morales, sales manager for the areas of Aragon, Catalonia and the Valencian Community to know him better and to know about his experience in the company.
1. For those who don´t know you, how would you describe yourself?
I consider myself as a kind and easy-going person, without a B face, what you see is what you get. I´m not rancorous with people, even if they don´t invite me for a beer, hahahaha.
2. Can you give us an overview of your career from the beginning to nowadays?
I started my working life in the medical-pharmaceutical world, as my father was the commercial director of a large pharmaceutical laboratory, so the world of sales is in my blood. Since I was a child, it was my passion to be able to go hiking with him when he had holidays.
After the military service, I started to work selling vacuum cleaners and polishers door to door. I was there for 3 years and ended my career there as a group leader. It was a great school, although very tough.
After that, I entered the industrial and automotive world where I managed to position myself from the world of accessories to the world of transport at all levels.
3. What is your greatest achievement in the position you hold?
I would say that opening up the market in the north and northeast of Spain for my former company and getting some large companies such as the Arnedo Logística group with more than 300 vehicles, as well as other smaller clients, but no less important for me.
4. How is the working environment with your colleagues in the company?
Great, it´s a pity that due to the situation we can only talk on the phone and we can´t have a more direct contact. I met my colleague Miguel Tapia, sales manager for the southern area and I had the opportunity to make visits with him. Honestly it is a pleasure to be with someone who knows the platform as much as he does. Also, I met Iván Navarro, sales manager for the central area, with whom I am preparing an event in Zaragoza with the Transport and Crane Associations.
5. What do you like to do in your free time?
I´m quite a homebody, I like music a lot and I like cooking, people say I´m very good at it. Like most commercials I spend a lot of time away from home, so when I have some free time, I like to take advantage of it and be with my wife and daughter, spending time together.
Also, I am a president of the non-profit sports association, which is dedicated to sports training for young people.
